We'd like to announce that the fifth Home Away From Home (HAFH) exhibition of TAMA Art University NY club will be held September 17-29, 2009 at NY Coo Gallery. The HAFH exhibition, which started in 2003, is a group show planned by artists who are alumnae and alumni of TAMA Art University (Tokyo) who now live in New York. Artists of different thoughts and ages come together in an exhibit that gets its name from the concept of exhibiting art in our second hometown, New York City. However, it also includes works by some members who live in Japan.
Previous HAFH exhibits have been held in such widely varied places as the consular office , DUMBO, Miwa Alex beauty salon so far. For our fifth exhibit, a wide range of generations of artists who graduated from Tama University gather here, with different styles: oil, printing, sculpture, representational, and abstract art. The participating artists display their unique expressions and sensibilities in an exhibition full of character.
