Artwork Requirements

All artworks must be wall-mountable
Type: Oil/acrylic paintings, prints, sumi-e, watercolor, photography, computer graphics, etc.  
Size (w/ frame): Must be smaller than 40”x40” (100 cm x 100 cm) and be no more than 2”1/2 (6 cm) deep.

Application Procedure
Application Acceptance Period: Sept. 1~30, 2008
Entry Fee and Entry Limitation:Each participating artist is allowed to enter up to 2 artworks
for the fee of $ 50.00 (minimum fee). There will be a $ 20.00 fee per additional entry.
Payment Methods: Wire Transfer, Personal Check, Credit Card (VISA, Master Card, American Express) or PayPal.

*Submit your card information via fax or regular mail. DO NOT use e-mail. Please see “Payment Method” page.
Submitting Entries: After the payment confirmation, send in your entries to NY Coo Gallery
via e-mail (in data form) or by regular mail (postcard-size photo) with entry information, which can be copied from our Website, “Application” page.
*We will examine artworks according to the data provided or the photo(s).

Applying via E-Mail
The artwork data must be in jpg format. The preferred data size is around 600x800pix, 500Kb.
Please submit the application form (with the artwork title, size, medium and technique along with your name and address, tel #, mini autobiography, payment method, etc.) to contact@nycoo.com.

Applying via Regular Mail
The artwork photo must be between a regular postcard and a large Christmas card. 
Please mail the application form (with the artwork title, size, medium and technique along with your name, address, tel #, resume, payment method, etc.) with photo(s) of your artworks to: NY Coo Gallery (20 West 22nd St. #1008 NYC, NY 10010).
Make sure to write “2008 NYCoo Open Contest” on the envelope.

Announcement of Results
The contest results will be announced on the NY Coo Gallery website on October 15th, 2008.

*All award-receiving artworks will be displayed in NY Coo Gallery’s December 2008 exhibition.
*You will be contacted in case IBERICA USA, INC. wishes to purchase your artwork.

NY Coo Gallery December 2007 Exhibition

When: December 3 (Wed) ~20 (Sat), 2008
Opening Reception: 5:00pm~7:30pm, December 4, 2008
Award Ceremony: Will be held during the opening reception.

Others
All additional fees and costs (artwork shipping fees, travel expense to attend the opening reception and award ceremony, etc.) are paid by artists. 

The load-in/out schedule for prize/award winning artworks will be announced on a later date. If you are shipping your artwork(s) prior to the load-in date, please notify us in advance.  

NY Coo Gallery will handle every artwork with the utmost care and respect. The gallery, however, will not be responsible for any damages, thefts or accidents resulting from reasons beyond our control. You should have your own insurance policy to protect your artwork.

NY Coo Gallery and IBERICA USA, INC. own the rights to use the artwork(s) submitted for the contest for advertising purposes (internet, magazines, etc.).  

NY Coo Gallery’s commission for artworks sold will be 40% of the sales price.
